NOTICE: Space is limited, and this class will be largely promoted by Historic New England. I cannot guarantee that there will be space once their promotion gets sent out. If space is available... jump on this one!
Join me this June for four beautiful mornings painting in one of the most beautiful and peaceful places that I know of. The light in the gardens is exquisite and capturing this scene while being immersed right there within the gardens is truly awesome.
Let's capture the immediacy of the moment together!
The class will take place on Monday June 12th; Thursday June 15th; Monday June 19th; and Thursday June 22nd. The class will start at 9 am each day and go until 12 Noon. Rain dates TBD.
The Garden is located at: 34 Codman Road, Lincoln, Mass.
One of the best parts about this particular location is that is a groomed garden. No walking through deep woodsy areas.
Also, we will be in the same place for all four sessions, so we can really get to know the location and finish at least one beautiful study on site.
It is also a very private location, very few people come through to visit, which means we won’t have too many walkers etc. coming through to “critique” our in-progress works ;-)
One of the things I love about this place is that it has so many features… dozens of varieties of flowers, statues, columns, rock walls, lily pond water feature, open grass, and deep woodsy background. It is simply lovely.
This is a great place for us to work together to take every aspect of your painting to the next level. As a teacher it is important for me to meet you where you are. There is no "set" curriculum" because every session will involve and be driven by personal one on one interaction.
So don't worry about your skill level. There will be people with all different levels of skill. Its really about getting together, having fun, and learning with each other in a beautiful place. One of the things I am very proud of is creating an environment that is comfortable and helpful for painters of all levels, and all of the people that I attract to my workshops are kind, non-intimidating, and welcoming... at least that has been my experience so far, and it continues to be.
Additionally, I will be doing demonstrations, and you will have the opportunity to see on of my large scale on-site works in progress.
All Registrations must be made through Historic New England.

Hope to see you there :-)
P.S. Here is a photo of me staring at one of my brushes like I am in love with it.... Hahaha :-)
Just thought you might like to see another angle photo of the garden. But feel free to laugh at my ridiculousness during the photo shoot. Hey! you never know if it's gonna look good until you find out... I guess it's the same for photography too. Enjoy :-)
Join me... and you too will be longingly staring at your brushes with love in your eyes!
See you there!
Demo's and Lectures
I offer painting demonstration and lecture events on painting technique and art marketing. Please contact me via email to inquire about scheduling me for your art association or painting group.
I offer Seasonal Plein-Air Painting Workshops. These small, very limited group size, classes are held just a few times a year and fill up quickly.
During these workshops we will be painting together, on site, right where I am working on one of my current pieces. This represents the opportunity for us to work side-by-side and truly "learn by looking" while painting together.
